ABOUT:

Hanna is a graphic designer based in the general Tampa Bay area interested in creating brand guidelines, websites, merchandise designs, and packaging designs. She enjoys mixing her 2D static designs with her love of motion graphics and 3D modeling to create visually captivating advertising assets.

EXPERIENCE:

Hanna has experience creating visual assets for many different academic, charitable, and social clubs at the University of Florida. In 2019, she was accepted into Dance Marathon at UF’s Captains Team: Design and Technology, where her team created all visual assets for the UF branch. In that year, Dance Marathon at UF raised over 2.2 million dollars, securing its place as the most successful student-run philanthropy in the southeastern United States. Her team was responsible for creating all visual design elements for the UF philanthropy and running the website and the app. Every merchandise design, social media graphic, newsletter layout, banner, and any promotional content was created by her and her team.

After two years at Dance Marathon, she left to help start Game Developers Association at UF. As the Marketing Lead, Hanna was responsible for running all of UF GDA’s social media pages and promotional content. During her year at GDA the club expanded from around 200 members in the Discord, to over 650 members and growing, an estimated 225% increase. The club is now one of the largest and most active online communities on campus with hundreds of messages being sent per day. As a member of the admin team, Hanna aided in organizing events and reached out to guest speakers from successful video game campaigns. So far, creative directors, project managers, designers, and developers, from award winning games like Call of Duty, Destiny 2, Mortal Kombat, Battlefield, Civilization IV, FIFA, Journey, and more, have come to speak to the club. In addition, she helped organize two Game Jams where UF students and members of the club competed to create the best video game in less than 72 hours. This year she expanded the event to not just include UF students and club members, but also USF and UCF game dev clubs. This sparked new connections between the game dev clubs as people from all three colleges were brought together to compete and collaborate!

Between her time at Dance Marathon and Game Developers Association, Hanna was the graphic designer for Liquid Propulsion Development Team at UF, an aerospace engineering club focused on developing rockets to send into orbit. She helped create the club’s logo, designed promotional graphics, photographed their meetings, and recorded their hot fire launches. After posting her promotional content, the club saw an estimated 250% increase of members attending their first Fall meeting of 2021.
